Get on over to the Frye Art Museum! This is a wonderful little museum that is always FREE, and it's not far from AiS - you could practically walk there. Their upcoming exhibition is " R. Crumb's Underground," featuring Robert Crumb, the grandfather of underground comix. The exhibition is January 26 - April 27, 2008 and kicks off with a Community Opening the weekend of January 26 - 27th, with a lecture about underground comix, plus an afternoon screening of the movie Crumb, which is a funny, sad documentary about Robert Crumb and how he got to be so weird and great. There are lots more details about this on The Frye's site. And don't forget it's FREE, so there is no excuse not to go. The image above is from “The R. Crumb Handbook” by R. Crumb and Peter Poplaski, 2005, MQ Publications.
